3rd Team Am Am with Past Lady Captains at Lingdale GC on 13th August 2026
We welcomed our President Sandra for the fixture but were faced with another exceptionally hot day and therefore the decision was taken to limit the game to 9 holes in the interests of health & safety
Both teams met up for a pre round cuppa with lots of chat, which was lovely as most ladies in this fixture are members of both associations
Conditions were not easy and the slopes on the back 9 at Lingdale were proving challenging, shall we say and dictated play, but even so, some amazing scores were achieved, with the team consisting of:-

Mary Langley (Kirby Muxloe) & Sue Hine (Ullesthorpe) 40 pts
Were just pipped by
Anne Jones (Kilworth Springs) & Janice Sterland (Cosby)
Lucy Pover (The Leicestershire) & Pauline Dignan (Lingdale) 41 pts
We were warmly welcomed by all the staff at Lingdale and were treated to a fabulous meal afterwards, before making our weary bodies home
