Everyone arrived on time and set off for their matches.

Unfortunately an Erewash member, not in the match, passed away on the course.

The club management took the immediate decision to close the course, the hooter was sounded and everyone came in. We all had a drink before they decided they were going to close the clubhouse, so our meal was cancelled.

As the result was immaterial in the circumstances, we decided to declare the match an honourable draw.

Everyone’s thoughts go to the family, friends and fellow members of the deceased person.
