On Wednesday 18th June we had our away match to the Nottinghamshire Ladies at Radcliffe On Trent Golf Club.

The weather was very hot on the day but ladies came armed with lots of bottles of water, plus the kind ladies of the Radcliffe On Trent Golf Club came around in a buggy supplying water to those in need.

It was the first time we had played a mixed format consisting of three scratch matches, for the low handicap ladies, followed by three handicap matches for ladies with a higher handicap of 13 -18.

As usual many different clubs from Leicestershire were represented with ladies from Cosby, Kirby Muxloe, The Leicestershire, Lingdale, Longcliffe, Luffenham Heath, Lutterworth, Market Harborough and Willesley Park.

All the matches were played in good spirit on a very dry, hot course which gave some interesting bounces. Many of the matches were taken almost to the 18th but fortunately we hung on and had a great win of 3.5 to 2.5.

My thanks to all the ladies who traveled a good distance to play and stay for the meal of fish and chips afterwards, I really appreciate your support.

Our next match will be at home to Northamptonshire. It will be played on Monday 23rd June at Market Harborough Golf Club.
