2nd/3rdTeam match v Derbyshire at Erewash Valley Golf Club
The weather for this match started with sunshine but quickly developed into a rather chilly overcast day. Fortunately most of the teams had finished playing before the rain arrived.
Captain Judith, and Alison from Erewash Valley Golf Club, made us feel extremely welcome and very kindly organise a buggy for me to get out on the course and watch many of the games as they developed.
This was a popular fixture for both counties and so a decision was made to increase numbers up to 10 x 4balls. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed playing the course. The two par 3’s in the quarry proved to be particularly interesting for those who had not played at Erewash Valley before. All of the games were played in a competitive, but very friendly manner and the match finished all square with 5 wins each.
An excellent day, finished off with a delicious afternoon tea.
