The second match of the season was our first away match and it was against Northamptonshire at Farthingstone. The captain Carol Collins was very welcoming and also extremely helpful and organised.
We were very fortunate with the weather again which was perfect for good golf. The course was interesting and, in some places, quirky making it quite a challenge and was in pretty good condition compared apparently to previous occasions when the fixture had been played there. Everyone enjoyed the experience I think whether they won or lost! The food was nice and unusually we had a choice for mains and desserts which seemed to go down well with everyone.
Thank you to all the ladies who played and well done too as it was a convincing win for Leicestershire.
