Our last “home” match was at Melton Mowbray Golf Club, on 30th July 2015. The weather for the first few groups was wet, eventually the rain cleared and the sun shone. The course was in good condition. The matches, as always, were played in good spirit. President, Janet Morris, played in this match and Joyce Calow stepped in at the last minute. The final result was Leicestershire 3 - Nottinghamshire 5, it was oh so nearly a half! For Notts it was their first win of the season, as well as being their last match of the season.
The caterers, Paul and Marie we most welcoming and we all enjoyed Chicken Roulade, roast potatoes and veg, followed by a choice of lovely desserts!
