A large proportion of the participants were eligible to play for either team, which served to add to the friendly nature of the event. The weather Gods were with us again, the course was in great condition (shame about the huge number of bunkers😂) and the meal afterwards very enjoyable.
The ladies who took part came from 18 Clubs over the counties and so provided a great opportunity to make new friendships.
Congratulations to the winning team comprising Ruth Sinclair (Beedles Lake), Jo Lee (Lingdale), Carol Hinks (Glen Gorse) and Anne Jones (Kilworth Springs) who scored a magnificent 98 points 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Second place was taken by Sara Glover (Rutland Water), Jayne Vallance (Lingdale), Bridget Jenkins (Lutterworth) and Sue Bromwich (The Leicestershire) with 95 points OCB. Janice Sterland (Cosby), Pauline Dignan (Lingdale) and Cecilia Crowson-Quinn supported by Sue Wagstaff (Lutterworth), who was drawn as their fourth player, came third with 95 points OCB - all very impressive scores.
Congratulations also to Ann Bancroft for winning the nearest the pin in 1, and Lucy Pover for nearest the pin in 2.
