2nd/3rd Team Captain v Vice Captain 10th April at Ullesthorpe Court
The sun shone and the balls ran well for our first match of Captain v Vice Captain played at Ullesthorpe Court. The club’s first lady to be elected Club President welcomed all the visiting ladies.
Unfortunately, our Vice Captain, Janice Sterland, was not able to play for medical reasons, but Lin Morton kindly agreed to stand in for her.
The 32 ladies taking part came from 14 clubs over the county, some playing for the first time.
All the matches were played in the true spirit of the game and ended in close outcomes.
The overall result was a narrow win for the Captain’s Team by 4½ to 3½.
