It was lovely to welcome the Nottinghamshire ladies to Scraptoft on such a nice day.
We were incredibly lucky with the weather after the awful rain on Saturday and Sunday and I understand that some of the bunkers were GUR because of the bad weather.
We were warned that the horse flies were all out so everyone covered themselves with insect repellent and, as I didn’t play today, I was in charge of the antihistamine cream should it be required. Thankfully nobody seemed to have been bitten/stung.
The food, as always at Scraptoft was very good (we had a carvery) and I have passed on my thanks to both the club and the caterer for making it such an enjoyable experience.
