Monday 21st May Maxstoke Park Golf Club
It was a beautiful, warm and sunny day, a huge contrast from our first outing. The course looked lovely.
A couple of ladies were stuck in an accident on the M6 so pairings were changed around, but everyone did arrive on time, if a little flustered.
Warwickshire were very strong – after just a couple of holes it became clear that it would be a tough day. A couple of Warwickshire pairs played par golf!
The result was a comprehensive win for Warwickshire 7-1. The stars of our team were Wendy Greenlees and Annette Cattermole who prevented a whitewash!
Everyone enjoyed the day and we look forward to hosting Warwickshire at home.
