What a pleasure it was to welcome the ladies from Lincolnshire. I know some ladies travelled over two hours for this fixture and I so hope that the hospitality offered by Melton Mowbray Golf Club made up for the long distance.

Again we were blessed with very pleasant golfing weather, the course played very well and an excellent meal followed. By the sound of the chatter and laughter in the clubhouse it was obvious that the games were all played in good spirit.

My last minute replacement Julia Kirk, managed to earn herself a bottle of champagne for her very first HOLE-IN-ONE on the par 3, 7th Hole. So Many congratulations Julia.
