Monday 13th June was a warm day with a threat of rain when the ladies of the L&RVLGA 2nd team played the annual match against Warwickshire at Nuneaton GC. The rain gear did go on and off occasionally but for the most of the match it remained dry. The grass being damp, everyone felt that the course was playing long but was prepared to a high standard and the greens were running true. Definitely a course to be revisited.

The meal was a cold buffet featuring gammon and turkey with all types of salad followed by a choice of 5 desserts, all at a very reasonable cost.
Once again, all of the Leicestershire ladies received shots and they used them to the full, with the final result being a win for Leicestershire & Rutland 5½ to 2½.
