Leicestershire and Rutland Veteran Ladies’ Golf Association

The Association was formed early in 1961 for ladies aged 55 and over.

At the 2022 AGM there was a majority vote to reduce the joining age to 50 to bring the Association into line with other counties.

Anyone wishing to join, please fill out the application form and either get in touch with your club representative or post it to me together with £6 joining fee.

At present there are nearly 500 members from 23 clubs around Leicestershire and Rutland.

Matches are played each year against Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Staffordshire and Warwickshire.

The first team (handicap index of 16 and below) also play against the County Senior Gentlemen and Rothley Senior Gentlemen.

The second team (handicap index 14/17-28) also have two matches against Senior Gentlemen's teams, one is Whetstone Senior Gentlemen and the other will change each year.

The third team (handicap index 29 and above) play against Northamptonshire third team and the Past Lady Captains' higher handicap ladies.
