1st and 2nd team combined v Warwickshire 7th August 2026

Yet another hot, dry day dawned on a hot, dry course for our match against the Warwickshire Senior Ladies. This was a combined team drawn from both our first and second team squads and we came together on the WhatsApp with our two home players at Kibworth sharing insider tips for how to manage our way round the course. There’s no accounting for how the ball will bounce or roll when it is this dry though, and it’s one thing to know where the danger is, another to avoid it. Bunkers and water took their toll and yet the greens were true (and green).

The first 4 pairs played off scratch and the second 4 pairs off handicap. Some matches were closer than others and all were played in great spirit, with the result being a creditable win to LRVLGA of 5 ½ to 2 ½.
