On Monday 9th June we played our 2nd match of the season, at the Leicestershire, against Lincolnshire.

Thanks to Sabrina and her team for providing us with tea and coffee on arrival plus our post-match meal. All the ladies arrived well in time for their match, even though we had to battle through busy rush hour traffic.

Fortunately the weather was not too bad and we managed to dodge the promised thunderstorms and rain. Unfortunately the match clashed with County Scratch Matches, so several ladies had to withdraw. This, plus injuries, meant that even after countless phone calls, emails and WhatsApp messages I was one lady short. However, a big thank you to all the ladies who played and all the matches were played in good spirit. Every lady played her very best, but unfortunately Lincolnshire fielded a very low handicap team which resulted in a 7 to 1 loss.
