Alfreton Golf course is an 11-hole course and was lovely to play; I think quirky was the word I used to describe it. The holes were interesting with some being quite tight and I think we all enjoyed playing there.
We were welcomed by Pat Holloway their Lady Captain and the Derbyshire ladies made the day very enjoyable. We were also provided with drinks and biscuits half way round by the Alfreton Lady Captain which was much appreciated. The food, which was a carvery, was excellent and I asked that Pat pass on my thanks to the Chef. Above is a photo of the teams on the day. Unfortunately some of the ladies had to leave early so are not included.
Unfortunately, as we lost, we kept the wooden spoon. Never mind, next year!! My thanks go to all ladies who played.
